Laparoscopy

A laparoscopy is one of the diagnostic procedures in abdominal surgery. We perform it at ZweiChirurgen at our practices in Switzerland in Basel, Zurich and Liestal.

A laparoscopy is used, for example, to clarify unclear abdominal pain, suspected adhesions, endometriosis or other problems in the abdominal cavity. Under general anesthesia, the abdominal cavity is systematically examined using small incisions in the abdominal wall with a surgical camera and, if necessary, small instruments. Depending on the findings, surgical treatment (e.g. removal of adhesions) can then be carried out immediately.
